Westin Mission Hills: Swinging Spa Golf Lesson
Tune in and take a swing at stress, as I attend the Westin Golf Academy at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Palm Springs. With two pro grade courses, designed by golf legends Pete Dye and Gary Player – one for beginners and one for advanced (ahem not me) players, it would be a crime not to mix in a little time on the greens with our spa game.
However, there was one little problem, I’m a horrific golfer! Like, seriously, swing and the ball’s still on the tee kind of a player. Luckily, Troon Golf and Westin Mission Hills’ have custom programs on par with the level of the courses. And they have lots of lessons to choose from, including daily clinics – you can even arrange privates or set up a custom lesson for a group.
And lucky me (and you) no one else turned up for the daily group Iesson and I scored a private with head golf pro, David Curtis. Listen in, and:
find out if I ever got some air under the ball
learn some of David’s amazing (and easy) beginner tips
see why playing golf is a bit like a spa treatment
see how to fit a little time on the green into your next spa visit
adapt some golf moves into your fitness routine – it’s a rockin’ ab workout!
*Spa At Home Tip: If you can’t get to the range, why not invest in a putting mat? Love this one, it’s small and works on carpet and hardwood floors.
If you’d like to have your own golf and spa adventure, call ahead to organize and personalize your lesson or round as it gets booked fast. Go to Westin Golf Academy online – they even have an app!
We’ve got a video version of this episode on the way so be sure to subscribe and stay tuned for our other episodes from the Westin Mission Hills including dancing with Karina Smirnoff and the amazing spa treatments! See you at the spa, Candy
